Savory Snacks and Churros

WARNING: We strongly recommend the use of an Electric Deep Fryer. If not possible, use a sauce pan with oil and a Cooking Thermometer to monitor the oil temperature. If the oil temperature is too low this will cause the snacks to burst or to be undercooked and oily. If the oil temperature is too high or if you cook for longer than recommended, this may cause the snacks to crack open or burst.

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Do not thaw the snacks before cooking.

2. Heat up the oil (canola or sunflower preferably) in a pan or deep fryer at 180ºC. (Make sure there is enough oil to cover the snacks completely and the oil is at the right temperature)

3. Remove from the freezer only the quantity to be consumed and deep fry the frozen snacks for 2 minutes.

4. Make sure you cook the snacks in small quantities, so the oil doesn't cool down quickly causing the snacks to get "oily".

5. Do not remove the snacks from the oil before 2 minutes and then put back into the oil. This will cause the snacks to burst.

6. Remove them from the oil and place them on a paper towel. Wait for 3 minutes before serving to make sure the heat is traferred from the crust to the filling and to avoid small burns with the fillings.

CHURROS: Follow the steps above and after removing the churros on a paper towel, roll them in cinnamon sugar and wait 3 minutes before serving.
